There’s something powerful about realizing the voice in your head… isn’t always telling the truth.
You know the one.
The voice that says:
“You’re not enough.”
“You missed your chance.”
“Someone else could do this better.”
“You’re too broken for God to use.”
This week on the True North Podcast, I sat down with author Hannah Castiaux for a conversation that honestly felt like a deep breath for the soul.
We talked about identity, purpose, insecurity, comparison, and what it actually looks like to live from the truth of who God says you are instead of constantly striving to prove yourself.
One thing Hannah said that really stuck with me was this:
“Your identity isn’t something you achieve — it’s something you receive.”
Whew.
I think so many of us live like we’re still trying to earn a seat at the table God already invited us to.
We keep striving.
Keep comparing.
Keep trying to become “better enough.”
Meanwhile, God is simply asking us to walk with Him as His children.
This episode is full of practical encouragement and biblical truth for anyone who has been:
• battling insecurity or self-doubt
• feeling stuck or directionless
• struggling with comparison
• questioning their purpose
• carrying shame from their past
• trying to figure out who they really are in Christ
We also talk about what it means to cultivate the “garden” God has placed right in front of you instead of constantly waiting for some huge, glamorous calling before you start walking in purpose.
Because sometimes purpose looks less like a spotlight… and more like simple obedience.
And honestly? I think that’s a message a lot of us need right now.
I’m believing this conversation will encourage you as much as it encouraged me.
